BULLetin – Round 12 Review

This week it was Mount Lilydale’s turn to challenge the undefeated bulls at Allard Park, despite a couple of  sluggish weeks the bulls were ready for the rams and were on fire from the first bounce. Inspired by the return of ball magnet Sheehan and the ever young Santacroce the bulls were able to rack up 100 points before the half time break. Even with the skipper Notaro still missing due to injury, the bull’s forwards were still dominant with Jake George and Pete Butler kicking 13 goals between them. A supreme midfield display was also to thank, helping create 48 scoring shots in what ended in a 140 point victory.

In the early game, it was a classic 8 point game which could determine the final 4, the bulls were also able to get the jump on their opponents kicking 5 goals to 1 in the first term. Though the margin continued to grow the rams were spending a lot of time forward. Luckily for us, Luke Mahoney was able to help out in defence grabbing anything in the air, and when he wasn’t there the rams were wayward on goal. Mourelatos, Randall and Salloum were the other main contributors in the 83 points win.
