Round 4 saw the bulls head to Bulleen to take on old D4 rivals, Manningham Cobras. A very different match up this year as both teams were the league leaders heading into the round. The bulls got off to the perfect start kicking the first and only two goals off the first term. In the second the cobras used the wind to get back into the game while the bulls inaccurate kicking also helped keep Manningham in it, trailing us by only 5 points at the main break.
The second half began and the bulls started to hit the scoreboard. Pete Butler hit form with strong marks and a couple of sausage rolls while Ash Rae was able to hit the scoreboard with one of the best goals of the year. By 3/4 time the margin was out to 30 points and the bulls had already done enough to win despite being down to one rotation on the bench. The final margin will be 25 points and the bulls will sit a game clear on top of the ladder.

In the earlier game the bulls were not as successful. After a strong start the bulls were unable to put scores on the board and confidence was lost when Manningham kicked two quick goals into the wind just before the half time siren. After the main break the bulls could never get back into the game, despite the best efforts of skipper Branch and Tommy Randall down back and Josh Revell up forward, the cobras were far to dominant taking the win by 40 points.
